Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Data Scientist with expertise in statistics to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in statistical modeling, data analysis, and machine learning. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to analyze complex datasets, generate actionable insights, and contribute to data-driven decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
· Develop and implement statistical models and methodologies to analyze data.
· Design experiments, conduct hypothesis testing, and interpret results to inform business decisions.
· Collaborate with data engineering and analytics teams to clean, process, and structure large datasets.
· Build predictive models and machine learning algorithms using statistical approaches.
· Create data visualizations and reports to effectively communicate insights to stakeholders.
· Identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in data to drive business strategy.
· Ensure the accuracy and integrity of statistical analyses and models.
· Stay updated with advancements in statistical techniques and tools.
· Mentor team members and provide guidance on statistical best practices.
Qualifications:
Technical Skills:
· Strong proficiency in statistical programming languages such as R or Python.
· In-depth knowledge of statistical concepts, including regression, hypothesis testing, and probability theory.
· Experience with machine learning frameworks and libraries (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
· Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, ggplot2, Matplotlib).
· Familiarity with databases and SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
· Experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) is a plus.
Soft Skills:
· Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
· Strong communication skills to present findings to technical and non-technical audiences.

Education and Experience:
· Graduate in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, or a related field.
· 0-2 years of experience in data science, statistics, or a similar role.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Experience in applied statistics for specific industries (e.g., finance, healthcare, retail).
· Knowledge of Bayesian statistics and advanced statistical methods.
· Proficiency in handling unstructured data and text analysis.
· Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
